What Is Special about Lexington
The town is one of the fast growing towns in America. It is located near Lake Murray and Columbia. The Move Over Law, a law that requires drivers to change lanes when there is a stopped emergency vehicle on the side of the road, originated in Lexington, SC after a paramedic was struck and killed here. Lake Murray is held by a 1.7 mile long dam in which people are free to drive, bike, run, or walk across. There is a public swimming area. Paws Park is a park for dogs.
